Pride at IAG: Chris

There are a few people behind our Pride at IAG ENRG (Employee Network Relationship Group) and today we shine the spotlight on Chris. Not only is Chris a team leader in our claims team, he has also been leading our Pride group for the past year.  Here’s what the Rainbow Tick means to him:

Achieving The Rainbow Tick speaks volumes on our purpose of making your world a safer place. It reinforces to our people that they don’t have to feel like they have to filter parts of themselves and can be their genuine self. We celebrate the diversity that every person brings to our organization and not just through our pride community, a place where everyone belongs.

I have had the opportunity to lead the Pride ENRG (Employee Network Relationship Group) over the last 12 months and it has been a great experience. We’ve worked on achieving this through creating a community of LGBTIQ people and allies across the country and connecting team members  whose paths would never normally cross. We take pride in making your world a safer place and promote a culture of being brave enough to let go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embrace who we really are, not only for our people also our customers, partners and communities.

Highlights for me over the last 12 months have been working with working with people across the business to achieve our Rainbow Tick. Having the support and encouragement from leader at all levels and our wider teams has been really encouraging in bringing our purpose to life. Participating in our first ever Pride Parade was a huge achievement and a fantastic experience coming together as an IAG family .
